David Stowe Obituary

David Michael Stowe of Madison, Georgia passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on February 11, 1964, to Jerry and Linda Stowe, who predeceased him in death along with his brother Darrell Stowe who also preceded him in death, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.

David's life was a testament to service and community, having honorably served in the United States Navy for two years. He took immense pride in his military career, which allowed him to combine his love for photography with the thrill of travel. His time aboard the USS Saratoga was particularly memorable, and his travels to Italy six times and France on multiple occasions.

He will be fondly remembered by his surviving siblings: Angie Fuller and her husband Mike, Ronda Gissendaner and her husband Jon, and Lisa Gissendaner and her husband Daniel, including his close companion, Ann Collins. David's role as a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews was one he cherished deeply. His playful spirit lives on in the laughter-filled memories of rides on the golf cart and the countless family moments he enriched with his presence.

David's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. A man who loved his family and friends fiercely, he was also an avid gardener, a patient fisherman, and a man of faith who loved the Lord with a pure and devoted heart. His generosity knew no bounds; he was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

After the passing of his parents, David grew extremely close to his siblings, aunts and uncles, finding solace and strength in their unbreakable bond. He became a cornerstone of family events, particularly during Thanksgiving and Christmas, times when his good-natured humor and kind spirit shone brightest.

A Memorial Service for David will be at 10:30AM on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Word of Life Tabernacle Church located at 99 Ellis Trail Covington, GA 30016 with Pastor Daniel Gissendaner officiating. A burial will be held at Georgia Memorial Veteran's Cemetery located at 2617 Vinson Highway Milledgeville, GA 31061 following the service.

 Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
