With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Dean Edmondson, age 86, of Loganville, who departed this life peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Mrs. Edmondson was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. Born and raised with a spirit of resilience and warmth, she touched the lives of many with her gentle wisdom and steadfast support.
Throughout her years, Mrs. Edmondson was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. She found great joy in gathering her family for celebrations and quiet moments alike, always ensuring that those around her felt welcomed and cherished. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and watching movies. Mrs. Edmondson was preceded in death by her parents Otis and Ruby Hall, her son Michael Edmondson, her granddaughter Misty Smith, her brother Sidney Hall, and her sister Marie Harp.
Mrs. Edmondson is survived by her children, Elaine Young (Donald), James Edmondson, and Loretta Hayes; her 7 grandchildren, her 14 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; her brothers Otis Hall, Jr., Johnny Hall, Gene Hall, and Wade Hall; her sister Janet Crowe; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
A funeral service for Mrs. Edmondson will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Westbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 319 Friendship Church Road SW, Monroe, GA 30656. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street SE, Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of these arrangements.
