Debbie Pirtle, age 69, of Covington, Georgia, passed away on May 18, 2026. She was born on October 2, 1956, in Pell City, Alabama, and lived a life marked by love, faith, and devotion to the people who meant the most to her.

Debbie was the beloved daughter of Clarence and Billie Jo George, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Pirtle. She leaves behind her children, Russell Dewayne Pirtle, Cheryl Tremble and her husband Gabriel, and Dakota Hagler and her husband Tim. Debbie was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Tim George and Mark George, her sister, Tammy George, and numerous other family members and many dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Debbie spent many years as a longtime employee of the FFA Camp in Covington, where she was known for her dependable spirit, warm heart, and the kindness she showed to those around her. Her presence made a lasting impression on coworkers, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She approached life with a gentle strength and a sincere love for others that could be felt in every conversation and every act of care.

Her faith was central to who she was. Debbie loved praising God and found joy in singing, lifting her voice in worship and gratitude. She enjoyed going to Gatlinburg and treasured the simple happiness of spending time with her brother Timmy. These moments reflected the heart of a woman who valued family, fellowship, and the blessings of everyday life.

Debbie will be remembered as a loving, kind, and faith-filled woman whose life touched many. She carried herself with compassion and grace, and she leaves behind a legacy of devotion to family, faith, and friendship. Though her earthly journey has ended, the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date following the conclusion of summer camp at her second home, the FFA Camp.
