Mr. Dennis Roark, age 70, of Conyers passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was born in Waycross, Georgia on March 7, 1950 to Eugene and Mary Roark who have preceded him in death. Mr. Roark grew up in Waycross and graduated from Waycross High School before going on to Waycross Technical College. During his career, Mr. Roark started working for Channel 8 where he lived on top of Stone Mountain, then he moved to Scientific Atlanta in Tucker, and retired from Oglethorpe Power. He enjoyed computers, NASCAR, westerns, especially those with John Wayne, music and motorcycles. Mr. Roark was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Conyers. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Roark, his daughter Sarah Collins (James) of Oxford and his grandson Jackson Collins. His sister Sharron Thompson (Gerry) of Guyton, Georgia along with a host of other family and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014.
