Diann Stewart

Diann Stewart, age 59, of Oxford passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020.  She was born June 23, 1961 in Monroe to J.L. and Lucy Burton Knight who have preceded her in death.  Diann grew up in Covington and was a 1979 graduate of Newton County High School.  She worked for Lithonia Lighting for a number of years and also worked in the bakery at Ingles Grocery Store.  Diann enjoyed sewing, traveling to Helen, Georgia and Cherokee, North Carolina, and loved being with her family.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson Kanie Vaughn.  Diann is survived by her children Stephanie Smitherman (Timmy) of Cartersville, Tonya Crane of Covington, Sonya Hightower (Tony) of Oxford, and Cruz Stewart of Snellville.  She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, her sisters Denise Edwards, Jennifer White, and Crystal Knight and numerous other family members and close friends. Funeral services for Diann will be held at 6 o’clock Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Davis officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00PM until 6:00PM prior to the funeral service Wednesday.  J.C.
