Donnie Glow

Mr. Donnie Glow, age 71, of Mansfield passed away Friday, September 24, 2021.  He was born in Atlanta on May 29, 1950 and grew up in Atlanta and Monticello.  Mr. Glow graduated from Monticello High School in 1970.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and attended Prospect United Methodist Church.  Mr. Glow owned and operated S&S Body Shop in Covington for many years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, cutting grass, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Mr. Glow was preceded in death by his parents Herschel and Geraldine Glow, his sister Faye Stanton, his niece Elisha Glow Banks, and his nephew Lee Glow.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years Caroline Glow, his children; Tracey Johnson (Bart) and Lamar “Little Donnie” Glow (Heidi) his grandchildren; Brittany, Eli, Braxton, Elyse, Chandler, and Emily all of Mansfield, his brothers; Howard Glow (Judy), and Steve Glow (Cathy), his sister Barbara Leslie (David) along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Glow will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at New Covington Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.  J.C. As of April 8, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time.
