Mrs. Doris Armistead, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 99 in Oxford, GA. Born on July 10, 1925, in Jersey, GA, she was the beloved daughter of James and Lessie Whitley who have preceded her in death as did her husband Charles B. Armistead, her daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Billy Williams, and her granddaughter Timmie Deane Armistead.

Mrs. Armistead's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She poured her heart into every aspect of her life, especially when it came to her family. Her family was the light of her life. Each of them benefited from her unwavering support, wisdom, and the warmth of her love.

Retiring from Bibb Manufacturing after years of dedicated service, Mrs. Armistead was not one to sit still. She was an active member of the Cornish Mountain Baptist Church, where she formed lasting friendships and served her community with grace and humility. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys.

Mrs. Armistead's interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She was an exceptional cook, taking great pleasure in preparing meals for her family. Her yard was a canvas on which she painted with the colors of nature, tending to her plants with the same care she gave to her loved ones. Her home was a haven of comfort and joy, filled with the aroma of her cooking and the beauty of her garden.

Those who knew Mrs. Armistead will remember her as the embodiment of love. She approached life with a gentle strength and a generous heart, always putting others before herself. Her legacy is one of compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
