Dura Keahey

Mr. Dura Keahey, age 67, of Conyers passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was born November 24, 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama to Edward and Myrtle Keahey who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Keahey grew up in East Point and graduated from Tri-Cities High School.  During summers while he was growing up Dura enjoyed spending time and working with his brothers Eddie and Frank in Detroit.  He was a great sports fan and enjoyed watching the Braves, the Falcons, NASCAR, and the Georgia Bulldogs however he enjoyed helping coach and watching his son play ball most of all. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Pam Raynor Keahey, and his brothers Frank, Eddie, and Timmy Keahey.

Mr. Keahey is survived by his son Josh Keahey (Noella Cadle) of Conyers; his grandson Craig Keahey; his sisters Beverly Watkins and Wanda Haygood both of Jackson; along with a host of other family members and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Keahey will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at New Covington Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service.
