Earnie Wright, age 72, of Newborn, Georgia, passed away on April 22, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1953, in Macon, Georgia, and grew up in Marietta. He lived a life marked by devotion to his family, hard work, and a steady presence that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was the beloved son of the late Earnest and Glenice Wright. He is survived by his wife, Pam Wright; his sons, Brian Wright and his wife Adrianna, Jake Wright, and Sam Wright and Anna Grace; and his grandchildren, Nate, Olivia, and Evelyn. He is also survived by his sisters, Melanie Hobert and Debbie Beasley; his uncle, Buddy Glawson; and several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Earnie graduated from Wheeler High School in Marietta and later earned his degree from the University of Georgia. He carried the values of discipline, perseverance, and responsibility throughout his life, and those qualities were evident in both his personal and professional endeavors. He was the owner of Ocmulgee Timber Products, where he worked with dedication and integrity. Through his business and the relationships, he built along the way, Earnie earned the respect of many and left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Above all else, Earnie was a family man. He found great joy in being at home and in the simple, meaningful moments shared with the people he loved most. He especially enjoyed coaching and watching his sons play baseball, and he took great pride in being present for their lives and accomplishments. His encouragement, support, and quiet strength were gifts to his family, and those memories will be held close for years to come. He also enjoyed fishing, a pastime that reflected his appreciation for peace, patience, and time spent in the outdoors.
Earnie will be remembered for his kind heart, his strong work ethic, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. He lived a life rooted in loyalty and devotion, and his legacy will continue through the lives of those he touched. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the example he set and the memories he created will remain a source of comfort and gratitude to all who loved him.
