Edna Bailey

Mrs. Edna Bailey, age 74, of Oxford passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019. She was born September 19, 1945 in Rutledge, Georgia to Henry and Lucile Armistead who have preceded her in death. She grew up in Rutledge and was a graduate of Morgan County High School.  Mrs. Bailey was an avid reader who enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved being a Maw-Maw to her grandson, Landon. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Wanda Williams.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband Lee Bailey, her son Butch Bailey and his wife Angie of Jackson, her grandson Landon Bailey of Jackson, her brothers Garold Armistead and John Armistead of Rutledge, her sisters Patsy Whitlock and her husband Harold of Fayetteville, Beverly Keith of Winder, her sister in law Ginny Bailey of Newnan along with a host of other family and close friends.

A Gathering of Friends for Mrs. Bailey will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday, September 26, 2019 at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society on line at www.cancer.org or American Diabetes Association on line at www.diabetes.org.  J.C.
