Frances (Taylor) Blackwell

Frances Taylor “Fran” Blackwell, age 71, of Covington passed away Monday, March 9, 2020.  She was born in Marietta to Russell Taylor and Edith Taylor who have preceded her in death.  Fran grew up in Marietta and was a graduate of McEachren High School.  Following high school Fran went on to Lee College and then to Brenau University.  She worked as an instructor for GTE for several years.   Fran was a member of Mansfield Baptist Church.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother Ora Lee Taylor, and her brother Richard Taylor.  Fran is survived by her daughter Taylor Chriswell of Mansfield, her granddaughter Stormy Chriswell, her caregiver and very close friend Lisa Richards of Covington, her brother Russell Taylor (Donna) of Powder Springs, her sister Robin Ragan of Cartersville, her step-sister Sonya Benton (Sam) of Douglasville, her sister-in-law Martha Taylor of Southern Pines, North Carolina along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Blackwell will be held at 2 o’clock Friday, March 13, 2020 at Mansfield Baptist Church with Dr. Jeffrey Perkins officiating.  Interment will follow at Carmel Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The family has selected J.C.
