Frances Lula Wratten Pedersen, age 97, passed away on January 15, 2025. She was born December 22, 1927 in Brookfield, NY to Sarah DeEtte Brown Wratten Fling and Leon Joseph Wratten. She spent her childhood near Brookfield, NY, graduated from Edmeston Central School and attended Providence Bible Institute and School of Music in Providence, RI. Frances loved music and learned to play several instruments; piano, organ, flute, trombone and french horn, but her favorite was the organ.
She was married to Pastor William Henry Pedersen on June 30, 1947 in New Berlin, NY. Throughout his ministry, Frances was the church organist, piano teacher and led many children's programs as well as adult music ministry. Frances loved the Bible and memorized hundreds of verses including the entire books of Ephesians and First John. Her favorite verse was Nahum 1:7 "The Lord is good; a stronghold in the day of trouble. He knoweth those who trust in Him."
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Pedersen Nadeau and one granddaughter, Nicole D. Nadeau both of Covington, GA. She was predeceased by her father, Leon Joseph Wratten, her mother, Sarah DeEtte Brown Wratten Fling, her sister, Mary Evelyn Wratten Pedersen, her husband, William Henry Pedersen and her son-in-law Luc D. Nadeau.
