Gail Rada

Gail Rada, age 72, of Mansfield, Georgia passed away Friday, June 17, 2022.  She was born October 3, 1949 in Anderson, South Carolina to John Burton, Jr. and Martha Scott Rada who have preceded her in death.  Ms. Rada grew up in Anderson and graduated from T.L. Hanna High School and Anderson College.  She later attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.  Ms. Rada worked at Sears and Roebuck in Anderson and then spent 30 years as a Flight Attendant for United Airlines based both in Miami and Chicago.  Gail loved being with her family, also her Church family, friends, and especially loved her dogs and cats.   A current member of Central Church in Covington she grew up and was Baptized at North Anderson Baptist Church in Anderson.  Along with her parents Ms. Rada was preceded in death by sister-in-law Llana Rada.  She is survived by her brothers and sister-in-law, Dr. John Rada of Cordova, Tennessee, and David Rada, Sr. and Linda of Oxford, Georgia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Rada will be held at 4 o’clock Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Allen officiating.  Interment will be held at 1 o’clock Friday, June 24, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, South Carolina.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service.  The family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your favorite animal shelter or humane society.  J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street S.E., Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of the arrangements.
