Glenda June Holland of Covington, GA passed on June 18, 2021. Glenda was predeceased by her father, John Glen Wills of Atlanta; and mother, Wilma Keen of McDonough, GA; former husband of 20 years, Larry Holland. Glenda leaves behind a step-mother, Vera Elizabeth Wills of Atlanta; 4 Brothers: John Glen Wills of Tucker; John Edwin Wills of Atlanta; John David Wills (Linda), of U.S. Virgin Islands; and Philip Keen (Susan) of McDonough; and 3 nephews. Michael Keen (Rhonda) of Jackson; and Alexander and Andrew Wills of Lawrenceville; and her most endeared, loyal, and beloved dog, Reba.
Glenda was a 30 year resident of California. She lived in the Sacramento and Orangeville areas. She retired from her 26 year career with the State of California, Department of Justice. Glenda was a member of the American Kennel Club and a member of the Donner Trail Kennel Club, Placer County, CA where she bred and showed dogs.
Glenda enjoyed travelling to include her most favorite trip to Africa; Brazil, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Glenda’s faith and church life was a large part of her life. She leaves behind many friends from the Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Orangeville, Ca where she volunteered at the Food Cupboard; and many friends from the Rockdale Baptist Church in Conyers, GA and was a member of the Senior Adult Choir and Senior Saints.
The viewing and funeral services for Glenda will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 beginning at 11:00 am at the Rockdale Baptist Church, 1295 Smyrna, Road, Conyers, GA 30094 followed by the funeral service at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Timberridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2704 GA Hwy 20 East, McDonough, GA 30252.
