Glenn (Sonny) A. Kimbrell, Jr.

Mr. Glenn A. “Sonny” Kimbrell, Jr., age 84, of McDonough passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021.  Sonny was born on March 2, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia to Glenn A. Kimbrell, Sr. and Thelma Spivey Kimbrell, who have both preceded him in death.  He grew up in the Lakewood area of Atlanta and proudly served in the United States Air Force.  Mr. Kimbrell enjoyed traveling and sightseeing.  He was a general contractor by trade and loved his work.  Along with his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his sons Lynn, Larry and Keith; his sisters Beverly and Shirley.  He is survived his wife, Barbara Kimbrell; his daughter Lori Broxton (Fletcher); seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; his sister Terry Donegan and his brother Danny Kimbrell, as well as a host of other family members and friends.  No services are planned at this time.  J.C.
