Gloria Hill Obituary

Mrs. Gloria Jean Hill, age 77 of Covington passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023.  She was born in Fulton County to Charles and Ethel Morgan, who have preceded her in death.  She deeply loved her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her world.  She loved her church, reading her bible and doing puzzles.  She also enjoyed arts and crafts.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Hill is predeceased by her husband James Hill.  She is survived by her children Joseph Mauldin (R.J. Nipper) of Winder, Sharon Landress (Jericho Landress) of Covington, Page Scandrol (Robert Scandrol) of Covington, and Aleashia Mauldin of Alabama; grandchildren Ashtin Withrow (Phillip), Jason Landress (Daniella), Camden Landress, Cullen Moss, Kaylee Moss, Kenzie Moss and Lacy Mauldin; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Susan Atkinson of Winder, and many nieces, nephews and other close family friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 5 o’clock at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 5 pm prior to the service.  J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
