Greg Ivey

Mr. Greg Ivey, age 74, of Covington passed away May 14, 2021.  He was born on June 15, 1946 to Paul and Georgia Ivey who have proceeded him in death.  Mr. Ivey was a hot air balloon pilot for many years.  He and his wife, Sue, of 31 years were members of the American Dream Corvette Club.  They enjoyed attending corvette shows all over the country.  Mr. Ivey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He will be missed by many.   Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife Sue, children; Tiffany and Jason Hill, Ben Ivey, Teresa and John Raines, Angie Cain, and Chris Cain, grandchildren; Noble Hill, Tristan Hill, Griffin Ivey, Noah Ivey, Chelsea and Harold Lollar, Chase Raines, and Emma Raines, along with other family members and close friends. 

A memorial service for Mr. Ivey will be held at 6 o’clock, Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor T.J. Bennett officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. As of April 8, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
