Mr. Harlen Bell, age 57, of Covington passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020. He was born in Conyers and grew up in Covington. Harlen was an avid deer hunter, he enjoyed fishing, and his family was his world. He worked as a machine operator for Pratt Industries. Harlen was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Elizabeth Maloy Bell and his brother Wade Bell. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Bell, his children Rocky Mason (Tanya) of Covington, Trent Mason (Tabitha) of Texas, Crystal Hampton (Daniel) of Atlanta, Alex Bell (Jessica) of Griffin, Brandy Taylor (Jessie) of Covington, Trey Bell of Atlanta, Elizabeth Bell of Covington, and Ethan Bell of Covington. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and his sisters Jeannie Ricks (Mike), and Brenda Wright (David) of Covington along with numerous other family members and close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Bell will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Allen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service on Saturday. J.C. Due to the COVID 19/Coronavirus Pandemic all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requirements will be followed.
