Heather Hudson Lanyon

Heather Hudson Lanyon, age 50, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, in Covington, GA. Born on May 8, 1974, in Decatur, GA, Heather's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her throughout her 50 years of life.

Heather was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Steve Cason, and her aunt, Deborah Hudson. She leaves behind her devoted mother, Connie Cason of Covington, and her father, Wayne Hudson of Tucker. Heather's memory will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Todd Hudson (Amber) of Covington, her aunt and uncle Lynda and Phil Hudson; her other siblings, Matthew Hudson (Melissa) of Jupiter, FL, Adam Hudson (Sara Bess) of Lilburn, GA, and Marcelle Fountain (Brad) of Marshall, NC, her nephews and niece Michael Dobbs, Alex Daniel, Jaydon Hudson, and Hayley Hudson. Her absence will be deeply felt by a host of other family members and friends who were blessed to know her.

A graduate of Tucker High School, Heather worked at Waffle House and later as a caretaker. She was an avid reader who cherished the simple joy of a good book and the company of others. Heather's loving, friendly, and kind spirit was evident in every conversation and interaction.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Mr. Matthew Hudson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
