Helen E. Schoenith

Mrs. Helen E. Schoenith age 96 of Monticello passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.  She was born in Cheboygan, Michigan on May 8, 1925 to Wesley and Elizabeth Barager, who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Schoenith enjoyed picking pecans, loved children, and working in the garden.   

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Schoenith and her son Michael Schoenith.  Mrs. Schoenith is survived by her children; Mary Lou Jones (Billy) of Monticello, Linda Vaughan of Durham, NC, Johnny Schoenith (Cec) of Monticello, Julie Jones (Ronnie) of Athens, Donna Bursley of Deatsville, AL, Lisa Johnson (Jerry) of Fayetteville, NC; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six greatgrandchildren; and five great greatgrandchildren along with many other family members and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Schoenith will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 12 o’clock in the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Sorrells officiating.  Interment will follow at the family cemetery located at Big J. Farm.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home. 

Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
