Henry Thomas Toups

Mr. Henry Toups, age 79, of Mansfield, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. Born on October 19, 1946, in Florida, Henry was the beloved son of the late Percy and Irene Toups. He spent his formative years in Florida, where he developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a strong sense of service and integrity that would guide him throughout his life.

After graduating high school, Henry answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Navy, where he served with honor and pride. Following his military service, Henry furthered his education at both Kennesaw State University and Perimeter College, demonstrating his commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth.

For 35 years, Henry dedicated himself to his career as a sales representative with Pitney Bowes. Known for his professionalism, warmth, and unwavering work ethic, he built lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike. Henry’s passion for connecting with people and his genuine nature made a lasting impact in both his professional and personal life.

An avid outdoorsman, Henry found joy in hunting, fishing, boating, and playing golf. He was also an enthusiastic jogger and participated many times in the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, embodying a spirit of perseverance and camaraderie. These hobbies brought him great happiness and allowed him to forge deep friendships and memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Irene Toups, and his brother, George Toups. He is survived by his devoted wife, Emmie K. Herndon; his loving sister, Barbara Zayac of Ohio; as well as numerous other family members and many cherished friends. Henry’s kindness, generosity, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service honoring Mr. Henry Toups will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Prospect Methodist Church, 84 Barnes Mountain Road, Mansfield, GA 30055. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the extraordinary life of a remarkable man whose legacy of love, service, and friendship will endure forever.
