Mr. Hubert “Wayne” Armistead, Jr., age 67, a lifelong Covington resident passed away December 28, 2023. He was born on January 16, 1956 to Hubert Sr. and Clara Mae Armistead who have both preceded him in death. Mr. Armistead had a long career as a truck driver. He is survived by his son Kris Armistead, his two grandchildren, his sister Cynthia Blackwell, his nephew Shawn Blackwell and several other great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Armistead will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11 o’clock at the Covington Mill Cemetery with Pastor Danny Sorrells officiating. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
