Inez (Drake) Spencer
Obituary
Mrs. Inez Spencer, age 94, of Covington passed away Friday, April 28, 2023. She was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia and grew up as a member of White Oak Baptist Church. A strong Christian Mrs. Spencer was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Atlanta and most recently was a member of First Baptist Church of Covington. She loved going to Church, exercising, and line dancing. Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Iula Drake; her husband Harry Allen Spencer, Jr.; and her son Burney Wingfield Spencer.
She is survived by her sons Harry Allen Spencer, III (Karen) of McDonough, and Michael Shane Spencer, Sr. (Sheryl) of Covington; her 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren along with her sister Eleanor Melson of Norcross, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends also survive her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Covington with Pastor Cody McNutt officiating. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
