James Lee Hogan, Sr

Mr. James Lee Hogan, Sr., age 81 passed away January 9, 2025.  He was born December 8, 1943 in Snellville, Georgia to Emory Scott and Agnes Irene Hogan who have preceded him in death. Hogan owned and operated Hogan Hauling and Recovery for many years.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.  Hogan will be remembered for many things but none more prevalent than the love for telling a good story or explaining, IN GREAT DETAIL, how to fix something the right way which was his way.

Hogan is survived by his wife of 62 years Mrs. Violet Hogan; his children Lisa Ellison (Gerald), Lee Hogan (Sherri), and Lance Hogan (Alejandra); his grandchildren Candice Hall (Brandon), Caitlyn Pollitt (Sean), Carlee Long (Nick), Hunter Hogan (Taylor), Holden Hogan, and Reily Hogan; his great grandchildren Brinley Hall, Vander Pollitt, Ryker Champion, Carson Hogan, McKinley Hogan; and soon to be arriving new great grandchildren Elijah and Laiken; and his brother Terrell Hogan. Along with a host of other family members and many cherished friends.

Funeral services for Hogan will be held at 1 o’clock Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  There will be a private interment held at College Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 Am until 1:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service.
