James Daniel "Boonie" Middlebrooks

Mr. James Daniel “Boonie” Middlebrooks, age 87, of Oxford passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021. He was born on October 30, 1933 to Walter and Julia Middlebrooks, who have preceded him in death. Mr. Middlebrooks grew up in Oxford, Georgia and was a graduate of Palmer Stone in 1950. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Middlebrooks also enjoyed going on “safaris” with his granddaughter Angela. He was a lifelong member of Gum Creek Presbyterian Church. Mr. Middlebrooks was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Shirley Middlebrooks.

Mr. Middlebrooks is survived by his son Danny Ray Middlebrooks (Shenna) of Covington, his daughter Holly Hall of Covington and his granddaughter Angela Stephenson (Thomas). He is also survived by his five great-grandchildren Rivers Stephenson, Caleb Stephenson, Joshua Stephenson, Emma Pace, James Michael Waters and his brother Carlton “Pat” Middlebrooks. The family will have a service at a later date.
