Mr. James “Jim” Turbyfield, age 74, of Covington passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023. He was born August 13, 1948 in Newnan, Georgia to Franklin and Elizabeth Livingston Turbyfield who have preceded him in death. Mr. Turbyfield served in the United States Army as a mechanic serving 32 years and retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Turbyfield. Mr. Turbyfield is survived by his wife Cindy Turbyfield; his children Shawn Turbyfield, Shannon Read, and Shea Garrett (Greg) all of Covington; his grandchildren Marideth and William; his sister Pat Gordon; his brother William Turbyfield; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
