Janelle "Mom" Tucker Christian

It is with a heart full of cherished memories and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Janelle "Mom" Tucker Christian on April 11, 2025. Born on February 6, 1943,

Janelle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Christian, her caring parents, Shirley and Ellen Tucker, her dear son Marty Kirkland, her loving daughter Angela Sartin, and her cherished stepson Joseph Christian. Her legacy continues through her living children: Barbara Strange, Katie Faykosh (married to Ken), Kenneth Kirkland (married to Melissa), Barbara Wilson (married to Charles), Shaun Christian, Cathy Christian, Lee Christian (married to Amanda), and Adam Christian. Her memory will be a guiding light for her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye.

Janelle's brother Tim Tucker, her sister Shirlene Wright (fiancé to David), and her brother Allen Tucker, will hold dear the memories of a sister whose life was a beacon of love and kindness. Janelle cherished the bonds of family above all else, embracing the motto, "Once family, always family."

Her passion for life was evident in the way she spoke of her children and grandchildren. Janelle took every opportunity to share their accomplishments and milestones, her eyes sparkling with pride at each new story. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of everyone she met through her long-standing career at Ingles. Colleagues and customers alike were graced by her presence, her kindness, and her eagerness to share a good word with all.

A long-time member of Almon Baptist Church, she lived her spirituality with a grace and fervor that inspired those around her. Her profound belief in Jesus was not just a personal comfort but a message of hope and love that she shared generously, never missing an opportunity to tell others about her faith.

A Memorial Service will be held by the family at a later date. J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
