Jennifer Irene Davies

Jennifer Irene Davies, age 72, of Oxford passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022. Ms. Davies was born on September 1, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia to Edwin and Irene Longino, who have both preceded her in death. While she grew up in Decatur, she spent most of her life in Newton County. Ms. Davies proudly served her community for 27 years with the Newton County Health Department. She enjoyed drawing, reading and cooking, but none of these compared to how much she loved spending time with her 4 grandchildren. Ms. Davies had been a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She also adored her beloved cats Posie Toes and Taffy. They were both very special to her.

Ms. Davies is survived by her daughters Heather Cleveland (Paul) of Tampa, Florida and Melody Hanson (Adam) of Covington, Georgia, her grandchildren Reagan Hanson, Payton Hanson, Foster Cleveland and Bree Cleveland, as well as her brothers Stuart Longino (Gail) and John Longino (Linda) and a host of other family and friends.
