Mrs. Jessica Ratliff, age 50, a lifelong resident of Covington, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Born in Covington on December 2, 1974, Jessica was a proud graduate of Newton County Comprehensive High School. She built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories in the community she called home. Jessica was preceded in death by her father Jesse Stapp; and her grandson Maverick Allison.
Jessica was known for her boundless energy and her passion for life. She took joy in dancing, attending concerts, and fishing. Motorcycle rides and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs were among her favorite pastimes. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life.
Jessica’s warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she brightened. Jessica is survived by her husband Scott Ratliff; her children Danielle Allison, Priscilla Allison, and Danny Allison; her grandchildren Link, Easton, and Maveri; her mother Bobbie Sue Hewell; her sister Michelle Brown; her brother J.J. Stapp; along with numerous other family members and many close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 o’clock on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until service time of Thursday at the funeral home.
