Jimmy Kenneth Green was born January 29, 1951 in Atlanta Georgia. Known as Jimmy to most, but to a special few he will always be known as “Pawpaw Jimmy”.
Jimmy was the youngest child of Carter and Geneva Green. He was the brother of four siblings, the father of three sons, grandfather of six, and great grandfather of seven. Jimmy was a devoted and beloved employee of the Kroger Company for 40+ years. When not working Jimmy had a passion for hunting, playing the lottery and was an amazing fisherman. He loved to be outdoors.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda Green, brothers Tommy Green and Sonny Green, sister-in law Clarice Green, and son Johnny Kenneth Green.
He was survived by his brother Jerry and Claudia Green, sister Sissy and Marvin Banks, sister-in-law Jean Green, wife Cynthia Green, son and daughter-in-law James and Nichole Green, son and daughter-in law Joseph and Victoria Oglesby-Green, grandchildren Jessica Stull, Morgan Green, Cole Green, Hannah Pirkey, Alyssa Green, Jeremiah Oglesby-Green, seven great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Jimmy passed away on May 16, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
