JoAnn Thomas Obituary

JoAnn Brandenburg Thomas, age 67, of Carlton, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021. She was born in Atlanta to Delbert and Charlotte Brandenburg who have preceded her in death. JoAnn grew up in Covington and was a 1972 graduate of Newton County High School. She graduated and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the College of Nursing in Augusta. JoAnn was an avid reader, she loved all of her “critters”, enjoyed gardening, and was a great cook. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Stretch Brandenburg. JoAnn is survived by her sisters Nancy Gschwind (Gary) of Covington, and Mary Brandenburg of Monticello; her nieces Callie Gunnells, Jenna Brandenburg, and Abby Brandenburg; along with a host of other family and close friends.
