Joe "Joe-Joe" Navarro, cherished by family and friends for his loving nature, passed away on April 3, 2025, in his hometown of Covington, the place that witnessed the joy he brought into this world on October 28, 2003. Joe's radiant spirit and the laughter he inspired will be forever missed by those who knew him during his all too brief 21 years.
Joe's memory will be treasured by his devoted mother and step-father, Melissa and Mitchell Rice; his father, Joe Navarro III; his caring maternal grandparents, Debbie Askew (Ray) and Charles Munson (JoAnn); and his paternal grandmother, Marsha Navarro. His siblings – Jennifer Durden (Cody Maddox), Michael Ricciardi, Haley Navarro, Brayden Navarro, and Tristen Navarro – will hold dear the times they shared, as will his beloved nieces and nephew, Remi, Scarlett, and William, along with many other family members who loved him deeply.
Joe dedicated himself to his craft, working diligently as a construction helper for both K & M Chimney's and Plumbing Tricks. In his free time, Joe could often be found with a rod and reel in hand, enjoying the serenity of fishing, or engaging in the camaraderie of shooting guns. His passion extended to the playful moments spent with his nieces and nephew, whom he adored.
His journey, though abbreviated, was marked by the love he expressed and the joy he found in simple pleasures. Joe's kindhearted essence and enthusiasm for life touched many, and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth and affection. Joe "Joe-Joe" Navarro, a gentle soul and a beacon of love, will be remembered fondly and missed immeasurably.
Funeral services for Joe will be held at 2 o'clock Monday, April 14, 2025 at Living Way World Church with Bishop Tim Needham officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service on Monday. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services.
