John Frank “Chuckie” Mikulcik, Jr., known to family and friends as John, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on June 26, 1951, in Delaware, he lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and a deep love for the people who surrounded him.
John was the beloved husband of Barbara Mikulcik for 56 years, and together they built a life centered on family, loyalty, and enduring commitment. He was a devoted father to Sherrie Mikulcik and Linda Mikulcik, and a proud grandfather to Katlynn Duren, Krista Chandler, John Bradley Bozard, Savannah Parr, and Austin Terry. He also cherished his great-grandchildren, Laney Key, Paisleigh Key, Hartley Key, Houston Key, Branch Key, Tucker Chandler, Lynnleigh Chandler, Grayson Chandler, Westyn Parr, and Karsyn Parr, each of whom brought him great joy. His family was the heart of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lovella Mikulcik, and by his sister, Janice Mikulcik. He is survived by his brothers, Steve Mikulcik and Bruce Mikulcik, and his sister, Toni Mikulcik, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who will remember him with love and gratitude. John’s presence in the lives of those who knew him was steady and comforting, and his memory will remain a source of strength to all who loved him.
John worked as a truck driver, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication. He approached his work with the same honesty and dependability that he brought to every part of his life. Those who knew him understood that he took pride in doing things well and in being someone others could count on.
Outside of work, John enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. He found satisfaction in hands-on projects and took great pleasure in the simple, meaningful moments shared with those closest to him. Whether he was under the hood of a car or gathered with loved ones, he was most content when he was surrounded by the people and activities he loved. John had a wonderful sense of humor, and nothing made him happier than telling a good joke and making people laugh. He was known to always have a toothpick in his mouth and was given the nickname “Johnny Toothpick”.
John will be remembered as a loving and kind man whose life reflected the values he held dear. His gentle spirit, steadfast devotion, and warm heart touched many lives over the years. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
