Joseph B. Clanton, Jr.

Joseph B. Clanton, Jr., age 35, a lifelong resident of Covington passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021.  He was born December 1, 1986 to Joseph “Brad” and Renee Clanton.  Joseph graduated from Eastside High School.  He had the warmest of hearts, he would give the shirt off his back if you needed it.  Joseph followed in his father’s profession and became a leading building engineer in Atlanta, Georgia.  He loved his job, but his passion was Georgia Football “Go Dawgs” and Ford Mustangs which he got from his daddy.  Prevailing through some tough times, Joseph always wanted to make sure everyone had what they needed.  His children became his whole world once he became a father.  We are very proud of the man he became and the life he made for his children.  He was preceded in death by his father Joseph B. “Brad” Clanton, Sr.  A well-loved son, nephew, brother, husband, father, and friend, Joseph is survived by his wife of 10 years, Ashley Clanton; daughters Daisy and Paisley; son Lee Clanton; mother Renee Clanton; brother Andrew Clanton and a host of many other family members and friends.  The family will hold services at a later date.
