Joseph Carlton Davis, Jr., known to family and friends as Joe, passed away on July 7, 2026, in Monroe, Georgia, the same town where he was born on July 13, 1947.
Throughout his life, Joe valued family above all else. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vicie Davis, with whom he shared a life built on love, loyalty, and enduring companionship. Together, they created a legacy that continues through their children and the generations that follow.
Joe is survived by his children, Gina Ellis and her husband Tony, Joey Davis and his wife Lesli, and Jake Davis and his wife Laney. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Sally.
He was a man who appreciated the outdoors and found peace in the simple pleasure of fishing. Whether he was spending quiet time by the water or sharing stories about the one that got away, fishing was one of the pastimes that brought him happiness and reflection. His love of fishing was matched by his gift for laughter, and he was known for his ability to find humor in everyday situations.
