Joseph "Joey" Dorazio

Joey Dorazio, age 61, of Covington passed away Friday, August 2, 2019.  He was born August 14, 1957 in Tucker, Georgia to Mildred Hardy who have preceded him in death.  Joey was the happiest and one of the funniest persons you could have ever known.  He could build anything he set his mind to. Joey loved fishing, throwing horseshoes, shooting pool, and was an outstanding cook on the grill. He was preceded in death by his nephew Johnny Wilford.   

Joey and the love of his life, Paula, have been together for 35 years and raised four wonderful children Johnny Lott (Amy), Travis Lott (Amanda) Brian Lott (Brooke) and Kara Bruce (Donaven) and 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings Ruth Owens (Roger Wilkerson), Don Hardy, and Darrin Stancil (Nicole), his nephews Tom Hardy, and Tony Hardy and his great nephew Cole Wilford along with a host of other family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life for Joey will be held on his birthday at 6 o’clock Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Mr. Buddy Hardy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service.  J.C.
