Joseph "Britt" Britton Frix

Mr. Joseph Britton “Britt” Frix. Age 64, a longtime resident of Newton County passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021.  He was born June 10, 1957 in Monticello to George and Irene Frix who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Frix grew up attending Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and recently attended The Potter’s House.  He loved fishing, cooking, his dog “Angel”, and most of all loved spending time with his son.  Along with his parents Mr. Frix was preceded in death by his brother Larry Frix.  He is survived by his son Payden Frix of Covington; his sisters Cheryl Frix and Ruth Mervis; his brother Tommy Frix; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Frix will be held at 3 o’clock, Sunday, December 19, 2021 at The Potter’s House, 1120 Crowell Road, Covington, GA 30014 with his lifelong friend and “brother” Mr. Phil Durand and Pastor Rickey Bradford officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service on Sunday.  The family has selected J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, TE Davis Funeral Services to be in charge of these arrangements. 

Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
