Josh Bouy

Mr. Josh Bouy, age 72, of Covington passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 8, 1951 to Joseph Bertrand and Mary Helen Cazes Bouy who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Bouy grew up in Port Allen Parish and served in the United States Air Force.  He was a master carpenter and built beautiful cabinets installing them in homes all over metro Atlanta and the surrounding areas.  Mr. Bouy enjoyed being outside hiking through nature and riding his motorcycle.  However, nothing made him happier than being with his family especially his grandbabies. He was Baptist by faith and a faithful member of Solid Rock Church.  Along with his parents, Mr. Bouy was preceded in death by his brother Billy Bouy.

Mr. Bouy is survived by his wife Patty Bouy; his children Joel Bouy (Vi) of Douglasville, Jeremy Bouy of Gainesville, Jonathan Bouy of Smyrna, Justin Bouy (Joseline) of Dallas, Mandy Tannehill (David) of Fort Valley, and Christy Keller of Covington; his grandchildren Kiersten, Ella, Jayde, and Joanna; his brother Bert Bouy (Kim) of Atlantic Beach, FL; his sisters Jonelle Baker of Spanish Fort, AL, and Josie Hall of Houston, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 o’clock Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Solid Rock Church, 70 Social Circle Road, Social Circle, GA 30025 with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service.
