In Loving Memory of a Cherished Son, Grandson, Brother, Uncle, and Friend
Joshua Scot Mann, age 37, of Covington, passed away on October 24, 2025. Born on March 27, 1988, Josh was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend whose warmth, loyalty, and humor enriched the lives of all who knew him.
Josh is survived by his loving parents, Sharon and Mike Hancock, Pat and Tammy Cleveland; his devoted siblings, Savannah Carter, Crystal Gray, Carlie Davis (Charlie), Briann Cleveland, and Waylon Lewis; his cherished grandmother, Dena Carter; his grandfather, Sammy Mann; his uncle Johnny Mann and his wife Michelle and their sons, Jon and Alex; his uncle Sam Mann; and his nephews Luke and Matthew, along with several other nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his very best friends, Billy and Jon Deloach, whom he always considered his brothers. Josh is preceded in death by his grandparents, Judd and Lucille Cleveland.
Josh was a proud ordained minister who took pride in joining couples in love and marriage. His strong work ethic and genuine kindness shone through in his career. He dedicated 16 years to Walmart before following his passion to Valvoline, where he served as assistant manager and later manager at both local locations. He loved his job at Valvoline and took great pride in the relationships he built with his coworkers and customers alike.
An avid pool player, Josh was a proud member of The Misfits, competing in 9 Ball, 8 Ball, and 8 Ball Double. He found joy and camaraderie in the sport, always bringing his competitive spirit and quick wit to every match.
Josh’s adventurous soul led him to travel often, with a special fondness for cruises. He cherished these experiences, making memories with friends and family that will live on in their hearts.
Josh’s presence was a gift to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unwavering friendship, his laughter, and his generous heart.
Funeral Services for Josh will be at 3 o'clock, Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff O’Neal officiating. Interment will be at Oxford Historical Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
A meal will be provided for family and friends at Royal Diadem Tabernacle, located at 2265 Hwy 278 SE, Social Circle, Ga 30025, following the service.
