Judy Ann Glow

Mrs. Judy Ann Glow, age 70, of Newborn passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023. Mrs. Glow was born on January 9, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia to George and Louise Newberry. She spent just over 30 years driving buses for her church, Shiloh Baptist and then for the Jasper County School System. Mrs. Glow never met a stranger, she loved people and serving her community. She loved fishing and camping with her family. She and her husband spent hours on their boat on Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee. Mrs. Glow also enjoyed watching humming birds. She was a long-time member of her church, Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Glow has been preceded in death by her parents George and Louise Newberry, her mother-in-law Geraldine Glow, her daughter Elisha Banks, her son Howard Lee Glow Jr. and her grandchild Baby Banks, along with 2 of her brothers and 3 sisters.

Mrs. Glow is survived by her husband, of almost 55 years, Howard Glow, Sr.; her sister Deborah Byous, her brother Roy Jackson Newberry, her granddaughter Abigail Mills, her sister-in-law Barbara Leslie, her brother-in-law Steve Glow, several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Glow will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church at 2 o’clock with Pastor Reimold and Pastor Sorrells officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 o’clock prior to the funeral service. The interment will follow the funeral service at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 5 PM to 7 PM at J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home.
