Kathleen "Kat" Cominski

November 18, 1960 ~ July 18, 2022 (age 61)


Mrs. Kathleen “Kat” Cominski, age 61, of Monticello, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022.  She was born on November 18, 1960 to William and Ilene Grohe who have preceded her in death.  Kat was a huge Donald Trump supporter and enjoyed discussing politics.  She was an administrative assistant for 32 years for the Georgia State Senate.  Kat had two beloved dogs, Trump and Riley. She liked gardening, painting, hiking, and camping.  Kat also enjoyed spending time at the beach.  Most of all, she loved her grandbabies.  Kat was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Kat is survived by her children, Crystal Prather and her wife Tasha, Stephanie Brantley and her husband Bryan, John Cominski and his fiancé Jenna Cody; grandchildren, Ella, Mallory, and Ryann Cominski, Amberlyn, Everett, and Maisy Brantley; siblings, Libby Johnson, Bill Grohe, Robin Gaurin; many nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.

A memorial service for Mrs. Cominski will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 at 1 o'clock at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Jackson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
