Kathy (Roper) Hardy

Kathy Roper Hardy age 74 of Jackson formerly of Covington passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2024.  She was born November 12, 1950 in Monticello to Calvin Roper and Dorothy Burch who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Hardy was a wonderful homemaker who loved nothing more in life than being with her family especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed watching westerns, going to casinos, and visiting the mountains.  Mrs. Hardy was a member of NEWLIFE Praise Center.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Hardy, and her brother Richard Roper.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by her son Jeff Hardy (Cindy); Great Grandson Preston Bradley of Jackson; her grandchildren Heather Aljets (Nick), Aimee Oliver, Lee Hardy (Grace), and Michelle Massingale (Brandon).  She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; and her siblings Connie Roper, Faye Roper, Bonnie Mobley, and Darrell Roper; along with a host of other family and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hardy will be held at 4 o’clock Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Wadley officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
