Kevin Moody Obituary

Mr. Kevin Moody, known fondly to those around him as Kevin, passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and friendship that touched countless lives. Born on August 24, 1953, Kevin grew up in a close-knit family, the cherished son of Bernie and Marianne Moody, both of whom, along with his brother Scott Moody and nephew Scottie Moody, predeceased him.

Kevin's life was full of devotion—to his work, his church, and above all, to his family. His wife, Alice Moody, stood by him as a beacon of shared joy and love, navigating the ebbs and flows of life together. His enduring spirit lives on through his beloved children, Mary Grace Price (Jody) and Elizabeth Paulley (Matthew), who will forever cherish their father's guiding presence. Kevin's joy was multiplied with the births of his grandchildren, Marshall and Wesley, each moment with them a treasure he held close to his heart.

In the company of his brother, Lee Moody (Amy Barber), and numerous other family members and many close friends, Kevin created a tapestry of memories founded on mutual respect, laughter, and the kind of support that uplifts one during life's trials. Kevin's career as the respected owner and operator of Kevin G. Moody Construction based in Monroe was characterized by the same integrity and warmth he carried in his personal life. His hands built not just structures, but also strong, enduring relationships within the community he served.

Faith played a central role in Kevin's life. His membership at Holy Cross Anglican Church was not merely a testament to his beliefs, but also a reflection of his commitment to fellowship and service.

Kevin's interests painted the picture of a man who loved life's simple pleasures. Whether he was playing music, hunting, fishing, or making a delicious meal for family and friends, Kevin took great delight in sharing these passions. Those close to him always knew that an invitation from Kevin meant warmth, laughter, and a generous spirit.

Words seem scarcely sufficient to encapsulate a man like Kevin—loving, kind, friendly—each a thread in the vibrant quilt of his character. To have known Kevin was to have known a rare soul, one who illuminated the lives of those around him with an unwavering light of compassion and companionship.

As we bid farewell to Mr. Kevin Moody, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we were privileged to share with him. His is legacy of love, kindness, and community remains a comforting embrace to all who were blessed to know him. Kevin's memory will be cherished, his stories retold, and his impact felt for generations to come.
