Larry Scott Fitzgerald

Mr. Larry Scott Fitzgerald, age 62, of Social Circle passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023.  He was born August 29, 1961 in Homestead, Florida and grew up in Miami. Mr. Fitzgerald worked in business management in the plastics manufacturing field and served as the South Walton Recreation Director for many years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and loved his family very much especially his grandbabies.  Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his father Charles Edward Fitzgerald.    

Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by his wife Amanda Fitzgerald; his children Larry Scott Fitzgerald, II (Heiley) of Thompson, Frederick Ryan Fitzgerald of Covington, and Alison Anne Fitzgerald Simmons (Hunter) of Social Circle; his grandchildren Oakleigh Anne, Maverick, Sawyer Lennon, Sadie Mae, and Sutton June; his mother Mary Katherine Fitzgerald of Apex, North Carolina; his sisters Karen Conicelli, Melissa Stevenson, and Melanie Fitzgerald all of Apex, North Carolina; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Fitzgerald will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Clegg officiating.  Interment will follow at Social Circle Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023.
