Lawrence D. Patrick

Mr. Lawrence D. Patrick, age 89, of Mansfield passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  He was born June 25, 1934 in Covington to Ed Wilet and Ruby Roberts Patrick who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Patrick was Baptist by faith and a longtime member of Mansfield Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.  He enjoyed working on lawnmowers, and spending time with his family.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force and also retired from Lithonia Lighting.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Ruby Lee Sheppard, Dorothy Hollis, Lula Marshburn, and Evelyn Patrick; and his brothers Jack Patrick, Junior Patrick, and Milton Patrick.

Mr. Patrick is survived by his wife of 65 years Sandra Patrick; his children Kathy Temples (Keith) of Social Circle, Lori Shirley (Dale) of Mansfield, Keith Patrick (Shannon) of Covington, and Kevin Patrick (Cindy) of Mansfield; his 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Patrick will be held at 4 o’clock Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Mansfield Baptist Church with Reverend Neal Dose officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 PM until service time on Sunday. Mr. Patrick requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Department of Mansfield Baptist Church, 101 Woodlawn Rd., Mansfield, GA 30055.
