LeAnn (Aderhold) Byrd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of LeAnn Byrd, age 50, of Oxford, who departed this life on July 24, 2025.

LeAnn was a cherished member of her community, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity. Her love for her family, friends, and neighbors touched the lives of all who knew her. LeAnn approached life with a gentle spirit and a ready smile, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

She devoted herself to her loved ones, finding joy in simple gatherings and meaningful conversations. LeAnn's passion for creating lasting memories, whether through family traditions, community service, or quiet acts of kindness, will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She loved her children and family very much and took great pride in her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend.  LeAnn enjoyed crafting, shopping, thrifting, going to the beach, going on cruises, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father Mike Aderhold, her stepfather Terry Johnson, her brother Chris Aderhold, her grandparents Floyd and Ilene Ellis, her grandfather John Aderhold and her father-in-law Donald Byrd.

LeAnn is survived by her husband Mark Byrd; her children Josh Byrd, Justin Byrd, Tyler Allen (Bailey), Andrew Byrd, and Braelyn Byrd; her grandchildren Hagen Allen, Oaklynn Allen, and Aubree Gieger; her mother Barbara Johnson; her brothers Michael Aderhold (Ashley), Brandon Johnson (Crystal), and Kevin Aderhold (Misty); her grandmother Betty Aderhold; her aunts and uncles Shirley Jones, Janet and Roy Frix, and Junior and Freddie Ellis; her mother-in-law Joan Byrd; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A funeral service to celebrate LeAnn's life will be held at 2 o’clock on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Ellis Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday prior to the service. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
