At the end of World War II, she was married on April 22, 1946 to Air Force Officer Roger E. DeLisle from Chicopee, Massachusetts, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Albany. They were blessed with 7 wonderful children. After raising their children, Lorene and Roger retired and built their home on Lake Sinclair. After nearly 50 years of marriage Lorene was predeceased by her husband Roger, their son Thomas and granddaughter Kate.
Marriage and family were her vocation. She loved others and throughout her life and illness, her beautiful spirit was a remarkable testimony to her deep, sustaining faith in Christ Jesus. Lorene was a member of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church and sang in the choir for many years. Survivors include her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends after services in the Church social hall. In lieu of flowers the family kindly request donations in memory of Lorene be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Winship Cancer Center, Emory University, Atlanta, GA.
As it is written in Proverbs 31 -
“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Her children shall rise up and call her blessed.”
