Lisa (Lunsford) Harvard

Lisa Harvard, age 62, a lifelong resident of Newton County passed away Monday, August 26, 2024.  She was born June 21, 1962 in Covington to Robert and Leota Lunsford who have preceded her in death.  Lisa grew up in Newton County and graduated from Newton County High School.  She was a loving mother and a wonderful caregiver.  Lisa was known for her mothering nature always ready to take care of the neighborhood children often times taking them in and helping raise them when the need arose.  Lisa was a woman of faith and a member of NEW LIFE Praise Center.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Horace Dale Harvard, Sr.; her mother-in-law Velma Lou Harvard; her brothers-in-law John Ellis Little, Jr., Jake Harvard, and Yale Harvard; and her sisters-in-law Elene Sontag, and Estell Harvard.

Mrs. Harvard is survived by her children Dale Harvard, Patrick Harvard, Calvin Harvard, Ashley Harvard, Hope Hendrix and Robert Grimes; her grandchildren Marlyn Hendrix, Trinty Hendrix, Mason Harvard, Sadie Harvard, and Dawson Harvard; her siblings Robert Lunsford (Tina), and Elizabeth Little; her in-laws George Harvard (Claudia), and Gerald Harvard (Cheryl); along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11 o’clock Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Lawnwood Memorial Park with Pastor Justin Adams officiating.
