Lottie Essie Owens

Mrs. Lottie Owens, age 92, of Covington, Georgia passed away Monday, June 20, 2022.  She was born on December 21, 1929 to Mr. and Mrs. Rogers who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Owens was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  She loved to travel to the mountains and adored her two dogs, Peanut and Rosie. Mrs. Owens was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and will be greatly missed.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Doug Moss; siblings, Loyce Satterfield, Nellie Pearl King, Bertha Lean Kitchens, Ruby Dale, Henry Rogers Jr. and Lee Everett; and her first husband and father of her children, James Jolly Owens.

Mrs. Owens is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Owens Sr. and Vickie; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Johnston and Donnie Parker; grandchildren, Ron Owens, Jr., Terri Owens, Pete Caldwell, Tori Colwell, Michael Johnston; great grandchildren, Katelynn and Jamie III, Delone and Lindsey, Malynn and Elise, Angela; great-great grandson, Phoenix, nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Owens will be held at J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10 o’clock until 11 o’clock with a graveside service following at Lawnwood Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Walden officiating.
