Margaret (Harris) Jenkins

Mrs. Margaret Harris Jenkins, age 72, of Covington passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024.  She was born September 9, 1951 in Atlanta to Charles and Clarice Harris who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Jenkins grew up in Decatur and had a long career in the insurance industry where she worked in many different positions and was a marketing representative at the time she retired.  Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Glen Haven Baptist Church in McDonough.  She loved gospel music, cooking, and spending time with her family.  Along with her parents Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her sister Nancy L. Miller.  She is survived by her husband Gilbert Jenkins; her son Rick Jenkins of Snellville; her daughter Christy Dial of Newborn; her grandchildren Shanon Williams (Josh) of Atlanta and Jessica Dial of Newborn; her sisters Juanita Harris and Jane Puckett (Greg) all of Suwanee; along with numerous other family members and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jenkins will be held at 2 o’clock Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Brady Howard officiating.  Interment will follow at Shiloh Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2024. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Glen Haven Baptist Church Education Building Fund, 345 E. Lake Road, McDonough, GA 30252
